How I can change my password if I forgot the actual password
Hi @Cesar_Imac,
Welcome to visit the TeamViewer Community!
I would like to ask for more clarity from you about the password. Was it the random password you would like to use but forgot? The random password would change automatically for security reasons and based on your setting. You may simply click the refresh button next to the password to generate a new password on the TeamViewer use interface too. For full information on TeamViewer random password, we would like to recommend you to check the knowledge article - Remote control via random password.
Just in case the password you forgot is the Personal password, we also prepared the article too - Remote control via personal password.
Let me know if my answer helps you. If not the case, kindly share more information about the password please.
Best,
Ying_Q
I too have the same question. I can access my account on my computer and can see all my details. I want to change my personel password. However when I look at my account all I see is the dots where the old password is and there is no way I can see what it is. I want to change it because I have forgotten my original password. I have tried logging in to teamviewer on another computer and clicking Forgot password it says sent password reset code but no mail arrives. I do have a reset/recovery code. How do I use that to reset my origianl password
Hi @Malenibo ,
Welcome to our Community and thanks for your question.
TeamViewer has multiple passwords, so here are some information that can assist you:
If you're not receiving the password email, please check your email junk/spam folder. Also, add the domain @teamviewer.com to the allowed list of your email server. If the problem persists, please let us know.
📌 We highly recommend using Two-Factor Authentication to protect your TeamViewer account. To activate 2FA please follow the instructions in the article: Activate two-factor authentication
📌 We highly recommend using Easy Access to increase the security of your remote connections. If you are interested in learning more about TeamViewer security please check our Security Handbook.
