Android 16 – QuickSupport remote control stops after a few seconds

I’m having a repeatable issue with QuickSupport on an Android 16 device, and I’d like to know if this is a known limitation or if there is any workaround.

Environment

• Controller: Windows PC (TeamViewer / Remote client, latest public version)
• Remote device: Android 16 phone(Galaxy Wide8 SM-M166)
• Remote app:
  • QuickSupport (latest version from Google Play)
  • OEM Add-On (latest version)
  • Accessibility Service for the Add-On is enabled in Android settings

Symptom

1. I start a remote session from the PC to the Android 16 device using QuickSupport.
2. At the beginning of the session everything works as expected:
   • I can tap, swipe, scroll, and control the device from the PC.
3. After some tens of seconds (roughly a few dozen seconds) input control suddenly stops working:
   • Mouse clicks and gestures from the PC no longer have any effect on the device.
   • There is no error message on the PC or on the phone.
   • The screen sharing/stream itself continues – I still see live updates of the device screen.

So, in short:

Remote control works only while the QuickSupport app is in the foreground.
When another app is in the foreground, control works for a short time and then stops, but the screen stream continues.

Hello,

The solution is to disable the battery restrictions of the TeamViewer Universal Addon application.

Below is a screenshot from one of our Samsung SMX-210 tablets running Android 16.
