Remote control drops when switching users on Windows 11

Hi , I’m new to TeamViewer and just started using it to support a few family PCs. I’m running into an issue where the remote session disconnects whenever I switch Windows users on the remote machine (for example, from one local account to another). The connection works fine again once I reconnect, but it’s a bit disruptive. Is this expected behavior on Windows 11, or is there a setting I’m missing to keep the session alive during user switching? Any advice would be appreciated.

There are two suggestions from us (either should work):

First suggestion

Install the TeamViewer Full Client on the remote device and enable "Start TeamViewer with Windows."

To do this, open the full TeamViewer client, go to the sign‑in page, then navigate to Settings → General. Enable “Start TeamViewer with Windows,” and click OK to confirm and close the window.

Second suggestion

Install the TeamViewer Host on the remote device (this does not need any configuration).

Now, please try connecting to the remote device again to check whether the session remains active when switching Windows user accounts.
