Dear TeamViewer Support Team,
We are a corporate client currently utilizing the TeamViewer Tensor license (contracted since 2016). We manage a large number of POS and Kiosk devices, most of which operate on Windows 7 Embedded (2009, 2010) environments.
We are reaching out to request technical alternatives regarding the following obstacles we face with the Version 15 update:
1. Functional Constraints with Newer Versions:We have been using Host Version 12 because Version 15 lacks the specific "Store Name Assignment" (automated naming) feature. Manually identifying and renaming each store by its ID is a significant administrative burden for our large-scale infrastructure.
2. OS Compatibility Issues:While your technical team recommended updating to Version 15, we have confirmed that installation and updates are physically impossible on our Windows 7 Embedded devices, excluding our Windows 10 hardware.
3. Risk of Service Disruption:Since a substantial portion of our managed assets runs on Windows 7 Embedded, we are deeply concerned that remote access services will be completely discontinued following the current warning notices.
Given that these are legacy devices essential to our operations, we kindly request the following:
- Technical Workarounds: Any method to maintain stable remote access on Windows 7 Embedded.
- Legacy Support Policy: A separate support policy or an exception for Tensor customers managing legacy infrastructure.
- Feature Implementation: Whether the "Store Name Assignment" feature will be optimized for the Version 15 Host to support bulk management.
We look forward to your professional guidance and a swift resolution to prevent any operational downtime.
Best regards,
[SeungHyun Lim/OKPOS]
