Hi -
I've been helping a 96 year old friend remotely for some time with a free TeamViewer setup. I also help my 80+ year old mother in the same way. I currently have TV version: 15.74.3 (MacOS). Within the last couple of months I can no longer connect to the friend's computer (iMac running recent MacOS version) but I can still connect to my mother's Mac without a problem. Neither of these two people knows much about computers so I don't suspect they've changed anything.
The friend's machine shows online and I have the TV password saved so connections have been easy. Now nothing appears and if I try to quit TV I get a "You have active connections. Are you sure you want to quit?" message but nothing is showing on my screen to reflect the connection. Seems like to connection is partially in place but what has suddenly stopped the session from coming up successfully is a mystery.
My friend suffers from macular degenertion so his eyesight is really, really poor and he can't really help me too much and he lives 10-15 miles away so getting this remote control arrangement back up and running is pretty important and I'd love to resolve this with as few steps as possible. A MacOS update may have changed something but not really sure what to check or change.
Any troubleshooting tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
