I've installed TeamViewer Host on an Android tablet - not sure what version of Android but it's a brand new Samsung device so it's likely to be a recent version of Android. I installed it from Play Store. I have also installed the Universal Add-On. I have made the Host installation part of my existing TeamViewer account (logging using the same email/password as other Teamviewer devices).
From a TeamViewer client V15.75.6 on Windows 10, I can reliably connect to the tablet (once the tablet user presses the button to authorise screen-sharing) and I can reliably see the screen, and both ends can see a hand symbol when I click on an icon on the tablet's home screen.
However remote control only works intermittently. The fact that it works at all shows that Samsung haven't blocked it (which I believe some Android devices so). I can't work out what circumstances allow or prevent it working - it can work one minute and not the next.
As far as I can work out, I have set the correct permissions in Android's Settings app - particularly the change in the Accessibility section.
The tablet is displaying a TeamViewer double-headed arrow in the status bar, and the red-filled rectangle icon in the bar that also displays time, network connection etc is displayed while a connection is active.
Any suggestions on things that I should look for in diagnosing the problem. As I will be using TV to help my elderly mother get to know her new tablet, it would be useful (although not essential) to be able to control her tablet myself remotely, as opposed to pointing to things on the screen than she needs to click.
(As an aside, is there a way of changing the device name which is displayed on Teamviewer Client under the Managed Devices section? Somehow an installation on a different Android tablet has acquired the same device name as the one which is causing me problems, apart from a trivial upper-case/lower-case difference, and I'd like to rename the device as it appears in TeamViewer. Incidentally, that second tablet does reliably allow remote control.)
