Remote Control - No Password Dialog or Error Message when Connect is Clicked

I noticed a couple of other posts here with the same issue, but here were no replys/answers to the issue. I'm trying to connect to a remote machine using Remote Control. I have the Partner ID entered but when I click connect the status goes to "Connecting to Partner" and then back to "Ready to Connect". I don't get a password prompt or an error message of any kind. If I use an old partner ID (one that I know does not exist), I do get an error message stating that the partner is offline. 

Both ends are running v14.6.4835.

Any idea as to why this is not working?

  • I had the same problem pop up today on ver 15. By email I learned my partner had the same problem. No dialog window for the password.

    Any solution for this? This suddenly happened after connecting and disconnecting multiple times...

  • I'm having the same problem on 2 different computers I use with Teamviewer, and it prevented me from helping a couple of clients remotely.
