TeamViewer 11: Connection could not be established. Meeting has already taken place.
Hello,
I'm trying to join a meeting set up by someone but am not able to connect. Every time I enter a meeting ID and my name, a dialog box pops up saying "Connection could not be established. This meeting has already taken place. "
Both of us are using version 11 and it used to work in the past. We are trying to set up a meeting after a few months now and it's not working.
I've tried restarting the computer, cleaning up the disk and re-installing the software. I also tried joining the meeting using Teamviewer Portable and Teamviewer QuickJoin. None of it is working.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong and how to fix it?

Hello @Mandy3,
Thank you for your message. ?
The free version only works with the latest version of TeamViewer.
As you mentioned TeamViewer 11 and have no license activated on your account, could you please try to update to the latest version and see if it works better? ?
You will find all the information you need in our Knowledge Base articles here:
- Starting a TeamViewer Meeting
- How do I update TeamViewer?
- Enjoy using the best version of TeamViewer we made so far! - How to proceed?
Alternatively, feel free to discover Blizz, our online Meeting solution: Blizz by TeamViewer
I hope this could help. ?
