2018-11-21 Update
The final release contains a few more bug fixes, including

2018-12-13 Update
Last week, TV 14.1 has been released, and now (2018-12-18) it is also available via the repository. The most important change might be a crash fix. It was long standing, but tricky to track down, as only a few people seemed to be affected. The crash occurred sporadically when starting a connection via the Computer & contacts list.
If you experience crashes, you can help us by submitting log files and crash dumps. It's easier to than you might think: Just click Help / Feedback and select attach log files.
Minor improvements include open MCO directly from the main menu (before it was only available on a button in the C&C list, which seemed to be harder to find). Also, the columns in the file transfer are now sortable. Messageboxes in Fluxbox have been fixed.

That's perfect.  It should be updated in the program since clicking the "Release Notes" from TeamViewer (Installed on Ubuntu 18.04), takes you directly to this link instead.

I'm just wondering if the Linux changelog is going to be updated since it still shows 14.1.x when 14.6.x is out.

    Thanks!

No meetings, no deal!  Stick with version 12.  Stop paying TV.

Hello, I re-downloaded the latest version of Teamviewer and re-installed it on the Ubuntu system. But it cannot be connected with my other computer. Could you check the issue and tell me the reason? Thank you.

    Best,

    Yuqi

V14 feels like a downgrade from v12 since we do not have the meetings

Still no meeting options for Linux... Any ETA about this?

This and the loss of tabbed remote windows in Linux is really upsetting as well. I relied on having one remote window, and the small contacts window. While I really love the dark theme, I'm feeling the shock from removal of what I consider vital functions. I don't have time to fish through a sea of taskbar items. I want my single remote window back.

Been fighting this since upgrading from 16.04.  Finally got it working.

My solution was to install nscd (sudo apt install nscd).  Apparently, it's needed to cough up session information if you're using an LDAP account, and perhaps in general as well.  Hopefully, TV staff will comment on this?

Wondering if this needs to be added as a dependency?

I ran into this same issue having switched to Manjaro Linux (more user-friendly Arch Linux).

TeamViewer 14 installs and runs just fine, but the login and password fields, among other elements in the same widget/layout (Qt assumptions here) can't be selected by clicking, nor by clicking tab repeatedly. This renders my whole setup useless, as installing TeamViewer 13/12 - which might or might not work - would not let me connect to any of the machines, because they are running TeamViewer 14! Catch 22, I'd say.

Any news regarding this issue? As said above, I can't use TeamViewer at all currently, which is a showstopper.

Edit 1: Now that I took another look at it, it looks like TeamViewer 14 doesn't detect my Internet connection... Perhaps there is some dependency missing...

Edit 2: I did two things: installed libnss_nis package and manually started teamviewerd:

    systemctl stop teamviewerd.service
    systemctl start teamviewerd.service

That did it, now I can enter text to the login fields again.

Further commenting on this: If the fields are disabled, it certainly does not visually look like it, which leads into confusion. Perhaps they could be grayed out or something in the next release? Thanks.

for the last few weeks now I have been unable to remote LInux -> Linux.  I have a mixed Linux/Windows network running at home.  The only connection that seems to work is lInux -> windows.

Currently running Teamviewer on Linux version :

    teamviewer_13.2.13582_amd64.deb & I have also tried version  teamviewer_13.2.26559_amd64.deb.  Neither will allow a Linux - > Linux session

Just to note version : teamviewer_13.2.13582_amd64.deb was working for me for a few months just fine..now even when I was running that version..only Linux -> Windows works.

Why was it futzed with when it was working just fine.

I also have the issue of not being able to type in the user name or password unless I reinstall the teamviewer deb package.

    Same here...

Running fresh lubuntu install and latest TV deb download v14.1.18533

When opening the program I can't even select the username or password boxes to start typing!

In Options > Assign to Account ... Things are a little better allowing the username and password to be entered at least. But. The "Assign" button is greyed out so I cannot click it!

I cleared the config folder, but the program still freezes. I also tried version 14.1.9025 and it had the same results. Any other ideas?

I don't have an account, but my program freezes seconds after opening so I couldn't log in anyways. 1 CPU thread runs at 100% for about a minute, then the program either closes or crashes. Does your program freeze?

    Hi,
am I the only one not being able to log into my TeamViewer account? It's like the  "Log In" button just went numb....

    Too many bugs
The screen shared is completely distorted
    https://imgur.com/a/tqRkTZw
Also in the 2nd image, there are 2 services running besides teamviewerd
I have already configured unattended access but still the foreground window stays and closing that completely stops the receiver

TeamViewer 14.1.3399 is a complete mess on linux mint 19.1
When marked to start when computer boots unlike version 13.2, It will always run in the foreground and closing the window completely stops the listener (teamviewer.d) instead of the foreground application

Also putting a lot of load on processor since the foreground application is always running and stuck on the taskbar

Completely STUPID update to such a great software

PS - dont break what already works

    Going back to tw13.2

I am still having issues with TeamViewer 14.1.3399. When I open the program, the remote control ID and password show in the GUI as expected, but the program freezes after a few seconds (without connecting to anyone or doing anything else). I am running Linux Mint 18 64-bit. This has always occured on TeamViewer 13 and 14 using either the .deb file or the tar.xz. TeamViewer 10, 11, and 12 work fine. I am not sure how to attach log files, so I copied below the few lines that had errors. Can anyone help diagnose the problem?

    @MattiViljanen
I like the tabs because I use my other monitors for text info, password, encryption keys, file/folders. And most of my work is scheduled so I do about 20 things on each one. So I just start on the left #1 process 1, #2 process 1 and so on. Makes it very fast not needing to minimize to get to text/info files or folders with software I need for each system. Not being in tabs is OK up to about 10 then it just gets crazy. 20 tabs for me is just so much faster then 20 windows.

In the winblows version you can turn tabs on or off or remove one or two really slow systems and put them on a different screen.

Tabs lol are also the reason I love the Linux folder system so much more the windows. I have 2 file explorer windows open with 4 to 6 tabs in each one. Each tab a different part of whats needed that night.

Like most computer people a have a touch of OCD. :)

Now it doesn't run GUI on debian 8!

.., we are aware that some of our customers are still on systems that don't sport Qt 5.5 (or 5.6). For this reason, we added a compatibility library to our repository, providing Qt for TeamViewer if you don't have it. This enables you to update from TV13 to TeamViewer 14 on Debian 8 and Ubuntu 14.04...

How do we gat this compatibility library ? I am (stuck) on Linux Mint 17.3 (hardware compatibility issues) which is based on Ubuntu 14.04, so I only have qt4, not qt5...

I am not now surprised that 14.1.3399 didn't work on my machine, for the time being I have installed 14.0.14470, which works for me. No crashes yet...

Just under twice as wide I only use contacts it doesn't start that small each time it starts with Allow Remote Control on the left and Control Remote Computer on the right. Then I switch to contacts drag it to this size the old size was smaller, opened on contacts and took up less space it was perfect.

    huge-new-tv.jpg
If I'm stuck with the new huge size oh well nothing I can do about it now. But PLEASE don't make it any bigger. :( Main thing is it's working again this month jumpin into VM every five minutes was driving me to drink! LOL
