Fixing TeamViewer Easy Access: It worked at first, but now requiring manual approval!

TeamViewer is installed and signed in on Computer X (Ubuntu), with Easy Access enabled. I’m using the same TeamViewer account on Computer Y (Windows). Initially, I could connect to Computer Y using Easy Access (or the TeamViewer password) without issues across multiple sessions. However, it now prompts Computer X to manually approve every connection attempt.

How can I restore seamless Easy Access to Computer Y without having to send and approve requests each time?

Let’s check whether Easy Access (unattended access) is configured correctly.

Please log in to the TeamViewer Full Client on Computer X and check if Computer Y appears under the “All managed devices” list.

For reference, the screenshot below shows how one of my managed devices—Demo laptop - MacBook Air, appears under the “All managed devices” tab.
If your Computer Y is listed there, click the device name and select “Easy Access” to initiate an unattended session.

If the device isn’t listed there, we recommend reviewing the setup steps in this guide to ensure Easy Access is properly configured:

Additionally, please confirm that both TeamViewer modules on Computer X and Computer Y are up to date, and restart both modules before attempting the connection again.

If the issue persists, kindly let us know:

• The operating system versions of both devices
• Which TeamViewer modules are installed on each device (Full Client, Host, or QuickSupport)
• Anything you notice that doesn’t align with the instructions provided in the article
