Subject: Critical Bug - Screen Sharing Not Working on Android Tablet
Dear TeamViewer Support Team,
I am experiencing a critical issue with screen sharing between my PC and Android tablet that makes TeamViewer unusable.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
- When connecting from PC to Android tablet, the screen sharing repeatedly fails
- Error message on tablet: "Cast screen has been stopped by your partner. Please close the session window and start a new remote control session. Your partner will then automatically be asked to share their screen again."
- PC shows connected status but displays blank/empty screen
- Issue occurs consistently every time I try to share the tablet screen
REPRODUCTION STEPS:
- Open TeamViewer Host on Android tablet
- Connect from Windows PC to tablet using Partner ID
- Grant screen casting permission on tablet
- Screen sharing starts briefly then immediately stops
- Error message appears on tablet
- PC shows blank screen despite being connected
ENVIRONMENT:
- Remote Device: Android tablet (TeamViewer Host app)
- Local Device: Windows PC (TeamViewer application)
- Connection Type: Screen sharing/casting
- Network: Same Wi-Fi network
ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS:
- Restarted both devices
- Reinstalled TeamViewer on both devices
- Verified all Android permissions (Display over other apps, Screen capture)
- Issue persists
IMPACT:
This bug completely prevents remote screen sharing functionality, which is the core feature of TeamViewer.
REQUEST:
Please investigate this issue urgently and provide:
- Root cause of the problem
- Temporary workaround if available
- Timeline for permanent fix
- Any diagnostic steps you need me to perform
I can provide additional logs, screenshots, or version information if needed.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Charles Lee
