Clipboard operations when clipboard sync is not enabled by choice on client but is enabled on host

On my Windows PC Teamviewer Client i want to preserve security and privacy so I have unchecked clipboard synchronization in Advanced settings

On my Window PC host Teamviewer settings, I have clipboard sync enabled for various reasons, unrelated to this, and is prefered.

The problem is that while I'm remoting into the host, I cant find a way to copy the host's clipboard to paste on my client PC.

My client's TV menu, under Actions/Clipboard show:

Past Clipboard s Keystrokes

Use Shared Clipboard (currently unchecked, but checked or unchecked makes no difference)

Send Clipboard

Get Clipboard

Logically I should be able to highlight and copy something remotely on my host PC, then use Get Clipboard, and it should transfer that content to my Client PC clipboard, but it does not.

I can enable clipboard synchronization to confirm the clipboards do exchange seamlessly between Client and Host. But again, I do not want my client's clipboard to be automatically copied and accidentally pasted on my remote host.

I replicated your scenario and tested the clipboard function during the remote session. I noticed that the function names appear to be different. On my side, the options now show “One-time send to remote” and “One-time receive from remote.”
When I copied text on the remote device and selected “One-time receive from remote,” I was able to paste it successfully on my local computer.

With that in mind, I'd like to suggest checking whether both your local and remote TeamViewer modules (full client and Host) are fully up to date by referring to this article. After updating, restart both applications and try the remote session again to see if the updated clipboard functions appear. If the functions appear, please try using “One-time send to remote.”
