I am getting the "commercial usage" message and I am being blocked. I am not using it for commercial use and your computer that flagged me should know this simply because the computer I was accessing is in my house with the same IP address!
Yes I do help other family members for FREE but in this case it's just another computer in my house.

When I connect to remote computers in general, there doesnt seem to be any issues. Except with one particular PC. PC keep disconnecting me after about 10 seconds of establishing the connection.
And the trouble is that when i try to reconnect to it, it tells me that it'sbeen too short of a time to reconnect to it and forces me to wait a few more mins.
Even when we wait that time to elaspse, and we reconnect to it, after 10secs again it disconnects me?
The same happens if i try to remote in from another laptop.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
I have teamviewer isntalled for personal use, and i usually use it only to acces my girlfriend pc to shut down it when she fall a sleep when we watch movie and from one week i start get this the message from the photo and get disconnected after 3mins, what i can do?

I would like to state that my TeamViewer account is suspected to be commercial, however I only use it to access a pair of my own devices . I may have visited them once from my computer at work . We are waiting for your response. Thanks!
This is happening for me as well. I am a student at UofA, and just want to connect to another students computer to help him get his microphone working, and I am getting the same error. Pls help.
this happens to me every 6months or so,, im on a home network on a dyn IP and only dial into a few computers her at home,, I reckon they just do it to scam ppl who dont need a comm licence to get one, good luck with that TV plenty of other free versions of this type of app out there, granted TV is good but no longer worth the frustration when they do this a couple of times a year

i just added many computers and mobile phone, because i use them all
sometimes, i helped my parents with this too
but i got banned. teamviewer said, 'we figured commercial using, so you are banned'

But if we turn to the essence of the problem, I would like to understand why my account with the wording "Commercial use" is blocked, when I constantly go to my home computer from my workplace to do personal affairs, check mail, find the information I need and track what they are doing my family is on the home computer, as there is a possibility that children sometimes sit.
If you look at and read the logs, I have 90% of the connection, only a couple that I wrote above, everything else is special cases, and then only minutes to solve some problems of my relatives and friends. The list of contacts does not replenish as it is permanent, even if there are changes, they are associated only with the fact that the old laptop or computer was reinstalled.
How can this problem be solved?

Today I saw this post, and today you have flagged my account as I was about to help my parents scan documents to send to their bank. It would seem I've been flagged as using the personal account for commercial purposes. There was an update that seems to be addressing that, but I continue blocked.
I don't need to manage 200 devices (the lowest tier of your subscription), just one.
Teamviewer does not seem to care about this problem. I have several computers as a hobbyist that I set up with Teamviewer in my host - one is my own pc and the other is my wife's which I support her on. I alo have two headless macs I am using a media players and I use Teamviewer to connect. I filled out the online forms and pdf's to get them cleared a year ago.
I am now playing around with some raspberry pi's and using Teamviewer.
Imagine my suprise that all my machines are giving me this message! I connected with Teamviewer on Facebook Messenger and my feeling was that they really did not seem to care. I complained that my 2 pc and 2 macs had been cleared before and why now do Ihave to go through the whole process again. Their was that the new machines tripped a process requiring me to apply for ALL machines!. This is ridiculous - if they don't want to offer free use they should just say so and can their free offerings if they are going to make it so difficult. I am not cheap but I cannot afford to pay a license for each machine
I manage my Father-in-law's laoptop. He is 88 and often locked in his retirement village - due to COVID-19. We can't get in and he can't get out.
I often need to access his machine a few times a day.
I have been using TeamViewer for years because I am on the other side of the planet and my I have 2 sets of parents to look after and they have flagged me too now. Even if I wanted I couldn't go and help them.
I only use it for personal use, never charged anybody any money, or made money using it.
Well I guess this happens, because enough people used it commercially without paying :-(
Anyway, I just wished that there was a way to get that restriction removed, so that I can help my family again
i have 2 TV laptops. client and host. each has timeout value set to off. well i am watching a movie from the host laptop on the client, but after about 90 minutes the host laptop will timeout and then the TV session hangs on the host. i cannot start a new session to the host, i must reboot the host laptop. both run Win10 latest updates. TV is up to date also.
I also use Teamviewer to support my elderly parents and on rare occasions my sister. I have no IT qualifications and do not charge for the assistance provided, I'm just more tech savvy than my family. My account is now saying that it has detected I am using the site in a commercial capacity but I'm not. My Dad needs assistance now and I can't help. Not happy.
Go to Teamviewer.com/reset.
You can then create a PDF document in which you state what you use Teamviewer for if your account has been declared a commercial account and you want it recognised that you are using it for personal use only. You will need to print out the document, sign it, scan it back to your computer and submit it. I understand Teamviewer will then review your application and get back to you within two days to reactivate your account as a Free Account if they approve your submission. I hope this is helpful.
I've been using Teamviewer for years. Use it to remotely access my desktop and help my family when they need a hand. Not for business. Then I get these pop ups. Nothing's changed at my end. Why would I be getting these pop ups? Have I been hacked?
why is the Teamviewer after one minute cutting the connection?

Having the same issue. I am not using it for commercial use, just helping my friend. How do you decide which use is commercial and which is not? Where you gather data from?
Someone has to investigate and report their organization to the better business bureau and have it reported a privacy issue. This is going on far too long and data is being collected to justify the excuse that our devices are being used for personal use. We need to find out WHAT DATA IS BEING COLLECTED AS EVIDENCE to show that our devices are being used for personal use vs commerical use? Why is it that we have to constantly submit our IDs to them and make a declaration that your PC / Laptop is not being used as commercial use? How data do they have to prove that you're using for private? You can't even uninstall/reinstall teamviewer even though you've installed it as personal and it says on the app its personal use installed. I've had to ask for a reset 3 to 4 times in one year and still TV constantly reports that its commerically used. This is becoming a privacy issue and shouldn't be tolerated!

You may without warning be branded as abusing the free account (for who know what arbitarary reasoning they use to determine that) and be unable to do anything until that reset is complete (if your lucky you will be able to connect for a few seconds).
The reset process involves filling out a form, printing it out, signing it scanning it in and submitting it, crossing your fingers and waiting .... what a crock of **bleep**.
If you can't trust it to work when you need it, your better off finding something else that you can (be it free or an affordable paid service).
They dont care about free account users and would probably prefer if we all left anyway (otherwise they wouldn't be so hostile).

Long time user of teamviewer. Sometime ago TeamViewer suddenly warned me I was using the product for commercial use which I am not. Eventually resolved this. This morning it suddenly popped up saying I was using it again. As is most of the world I am working from home and I connect to work machines via **Third Party Product** not TeamViewer. Trying to log a support ticket but just keep getting sent to the community page.
Any help would be great on how to log the ticket.
I also have this problem as of today. I have used TeamViewer for a mumber of years for myownprivate purposes. I use it to connect from my tab back to my home pc when I am away on holidays. I only use it for the shortest time possible each time. Please allow my private use to continue as before.
Hello, I have been using a free license for several years. I have only one home computer and sometimes I connect to it. But today the program has started writing that commercial use has been noticed. Why? If I only use it for home use and with just one computer.

I've been using TeamViewer periodically to support friends and family, although far more during COVID-19 to support my elderly parents. The other day, for an unknown reason, commercial use was detected while attempting to support my mother. Have sent off the form to TV, although no response as yet. I can understand free use is low priority and I appreciate TV makes it available in the first place.
@JeanK, should I simply move onto a simple solution (all that I need) which won't be subject to inconvenient, random flagging, such as **Third Party Product**?

But, a couple of days ago, I connected from my smartphone to the “Mama” computer, and, unexpectedly, the session was interrupted and I received a message that I was using the service for commercial purposes. I tried to connect again, but the connection was broken again. What happened? I
have never violated the terms of free use, my computers are registered in my account. You can see it. I ask you to check everything and fix this error.

Same issue here. After reading all these messages in the forum, I am getting the idea that they are hurting money wise and trying to make sure they eliminate any commercial users. Unfortunately we get hit by it also. I am deleting my account since I do not want to go back and forth with teamviewer support and end up in a vicious cycle, I will use other products in the meantime. If this ever gets resolved or you release a personal use small monthly fee or one time buy, send me an email and I will gladly join.
Teamviewer accuses me of commercial use and blocks my connection to my old mother of 93 years old. I help her with her PC several times a week for only 2 to 3 minutes per session. Always from my own PC with my own ID Teamviewer-number and always & only to my mother's PC with her ID-number. Right now I c annot help her an ymore because Teamviewer thinks I am a commercial user, which is false.
I don't mind to pay a decen t fee for my NON_commercial help to my old mother, but the subscription of[removed per Community Guidelines] Euro's a year is absurd.

My Teamviewer has been stuck on the expired version for over two months now and I have filled out the reset form twice, both times saying my account has been reset. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software a couple of time, restarted my computer, and called for customer support; nothing has worked. What do I need to do (or who should I contact) to get my ID officially reset to a free version so I can continue to use this software?
Teamviewer did suspect commercial use so I did reachout using a link provided to me, I recieved an email last night stating: "Thank you for getting in touch with us. We are happy to inform you that your TeamViewer ID has been reset to “free”. After reviewing your request, we decided that your use case can be qualified as “personal”." So I assumed everything would be fine, I went to use it this morning and it is still signing me out and saying they still suspect commercial use. Is there something I should do ?
I get the message "Connection blocked after reaching the maximum time" after about 30 seconds of use. Did the account appear to be suspicious commercial use?
My free account has been flagged 2 times in the past years as being suspected to be used commercially.
The issue was resolved very quickly the first times this happened to me after I filled out the Form to submit Commercial Use Suspected support ticket found in the Knowledge Base.
I had to wait a long time the second time.
Now it's third time (now waiting for a reply)
What would/could cause the "Commercial use suspicion algorithm" to keep flagging my account as suspicious?
I use it to help my parents (we live 1000 km away!) and to do something on my home pc if I am away from home and forgot to do something.
I use TV on my pcs: one desktop at my own, one notebook (office computer, but in this case used to connect for personal use) and sometimes from iphone or ipad.
How can I prove once and for all that I'm not using TeamViewer for commercial use?
If it is blocked so suddenly, when I have to help my father, as happened today, I am not able.
He is old, if TV crashes unexpectedly (since it is the third time), I prefer to know it and change software to avoid risking this possibility.
